Well its over just like that its over, oh summer how I will miss you. You just never stick around long enough. The kids really enjoyed their last week of summer. I started back to work in mid-August so Lindsay took the kids on their daily adventures and they had some good ones. Carl and I had to work late one night so she took them for a sleepover and to the pool at Cherry Point which Nathan loved because it has an obstacle course floating thing. She also has a neighbor with kittens which was a big hit with Caitlin  and Owen. We just found out Lindsay will only be here a few more months as her husband got orders ohhhh how she will be missed she is a part of our family. We love her so much I am not sure how we will live without her in our life! She makes everything so easy and fun! Well I will have to post more about her awesomeness later! Nathan and Caitlin started third and first grade today, everyone got great teachers and we are all looking forward to a great school year.

 Ohh how everyone loves kittens!

 The cousins from England have been visiting this week so the kids have spent lots of time with Harry, Jack and Tommy. A sleepover at Aunt Carens, movies, aquarium, beach, wow the fun never stops!

Feeling the breeze

Well the big kids finished up all their summer activities last week. They spent a week at Sound to Sea Camp and had their last swim meet. There is nothing else scheduled/planned for the rest of the summer except the usual beach, pool, and just relaxing. Owen and Mom have been a bit under the weather this week and it looks like Nate is next up for the summer cold. He's in denial or at least he was last night poor guy. Even Grandpa got the dreaded summer cold. Oh well it happens. At least it happened during Shark Week. Yes, there have been many hours spent on the sofa watching shark week, maybe too many but we all enjoy it so our plans this week include watching endless hours of shark week! Here are some pics for this week and last week .  I have big plans to take the camera out and grab some weekend shots of the kids just because I don't feel like I have played with my camera at all lately so stay tuned .

One Proud Mom

Wow Nathan and Caitlin did amazing at their swim meet last night. They are in camp this week at Sound to Sea so I was very nervous that they wouldn't even have the energy to get in the pool. Caitlin did miss her last event she was just exhausted and it was getting late. By this point she had asked if she could get her pajamas on. It was a long day but wow did they do great swimming. At the start of the season Caitlin could only make it a few meters before stopping to rest or slowing down. Nathan did awesome he came from behind in a relay to help with the win and showed so much determination and drive. They both did great. Nathan did four events and I think he got first in all four. Caitlin did three and did great in all three.  Summer Swim Team was fun and they both really improved in their swimming skills. Owen will be old enough to start next year.
