Awesome Kids

 Guess who was Student of the Week and Student of the Month last week. Yes way to go Caitlin, she also did awesome on her phonic test and I had a parent teacher conference to talk about her progress. Caitlin was so happy to move up spelling groups and reading groups! Way to go Caitlin!!!!

Look at this guy chilaxin in Moms bed, he's been very needy lately, and ohh it pulls at my heart strings. I have found him cuddled up next to me in the middle of the night on more than one occasion. He's turning 5 in two weeks  can you believe it! There are a few other things happing with Owen right now that have me a bit worried but his speech had me a bit worried too so I am going to give a little while longer but lets just say we have been working pretty hard in the evenings on learning our alphabet and our numbers and its not going so well. ..... oh I hope its just a maturity lack of effort or caring thing but I am not so sure...... so time will tell.  So yes the kids are doing awesome the house is organized no one is missing any activities which means some other part of the puzzle must be falling apart ughhhh I have decided to cut back my duties at the battalion I just couldn't do it and work and have kids and so we are trying to cut me out of things slowly and quietly in hopes that no one  will notice. I feel really really bad for Carl and even though he says he doesn't mind I have to wonder its actually one of the few times in my life when I've said, I just can't do it but I gave it a try for 9 months and unfortunately even with the full time nanny the kids need me and I want to be there for them so right now I am procrastinating sending the sorry I will not be there tomorrow for the New Spouse Social and feeling really guilty that I am going to a work / conference at the Aquarium tomorrow but it is what it is....... so I guess I better think of a really yummy dinner to make my husband hahahaah. In other news, Owen's birthday is in two weeks and I need to put together a party and plan something so  I better get back to work!!!!!!

All Grown UP

OH so what do you do when your students are all taking a test well you update the blog of course. I just have to blog about owen he is just so grown up these days. On Monday I took him to a parent teacher conference for Caitlin , he insisted on taking a  chocolate covered granola bar in case he got hungry. As he his getting out of the car he puts it in his pocket. I tell him " Owen don't put that in your pocket it will melt" He looks at me with that smile and says " The sunshine can't get in my pocket " hahahaah love that kid! In other great news Caitlin is student of the week at school this week. Today she took Lamb and Frog (stuffed animals to school for show and tell) She is so mature but when I see that it makes me smile to still have my little girl even if its just for a while longer.
The parent teacher conference went great, Caitlin has an awesome teacher turns out she took a phonics test and rocked it! So she is going to give her more challenging work.  Always nice to see.

Skiing Snowshoe 2015

Well we headed off to the mountains of West Virginia on Thursday afternoon after what seemed like weeks of packing. Mom and Caitlin had sewn neck warmers ordered goggles and packed and packed and planned and packed.

Mom and Ali spent the whole day on the mountain snowboarding together after we dropped the kids off for their second day of ski school the men were hitting the black diamonds.

Had to take a view coming up the mountain. The kids had no idea the winter wonderland that awaited them, it was crazy it was snowing when we got there and didn't stop for the entire day!!!!

 The family heading out for their day of ski school ! They loved it. After pre paying for both days I was a little nervous, at 526.00 per day for three kids I hoped and prayed they loved it and they did!

 That is Ali you can hardly see her it just kept on snowing and snowing!!!!

 It was awesome!

 Kids came home from ski school at 5:00 pm and went back outside to paly in the snow,
