Great News
Well we had an idea but its now been confirmed. Owen is doing awesome in school. It didn't take long for us to figure out our summer of hard work had paid off! He took his benchmark tests and rocked them a few weeks into school. He has no trouble completing his homework nightly what used to be a constant struggle and always resulted in tears. Homework is even sometimes done on the bus on the way home so he can head out an play. He was moved into the middle spelling group and learning the words has been easy! He's a different kid. I am so so happy with his teacher. You see I didn't pick the teacher that the three parents of kids who are teacher picked, nope I picked the teacher that the reading specialist told me was the best. She's not warm and fuzzy but I she is nice but stern and she is giving Owen exactly what he needs. I couldn't be happier!!!! He got his first report card a few weeks ago and he on grade level in all areas!!!!! We are still tutoring but we are now just once a month or sometimes two. I read with him daily and we mix up what home
school things we are working on taking a more relaxed approach and well just like everyone said he will be "fine" hahaha ha never mind the $1000.00 in tutoring, summer school, $2000.00 in school supplies and countless hours and hours of hard work see he will be fine!!! I would do it all over again in a skinny minute and its over !!!!
Birthday parties
Okay so here goes, we celebrated and celebrated. Here is the Thanksgiving Saturday party at Gma's house , always a good time.
As you can see everyone enjoyed their wonderful gifts.
Here are some pictures of her friends party at the iceskating rink on a very rainy very cold day in November, we left on a half day after school and they had a sleepover. I think the girls had a great time !!!!
Noone had skated before except Caitlin but they enjoyed it.
Owen playing with the train!
There was so much fishing this year. We caught tons of fish, we got tired of fish, It was fun fun fun and all off the dock! We had Grandma and Grandpa over for dinner every Sunday and hopefully the kids will always have fond memories.
