She's here!!!! Caitlin Rene Priechenfried, born 30 Nov at 10am, weighing 6 lbs 13 oz and 19" long - and a healthy pair of lungs! She's doing very well, began breastfeeding an hour after her birth (and when mom was still very groggy!).

And, as you can see, Dad gets to have all the fun after Mom does all the work! Although, I have no idea how to post pictures in a specific order, so the pic I wanted to be first (the full-body shot of Caitlin) is, of course, last!

Lastly, but certainly not in any manner least, Amy, Nathan, Caitlin, and I would like to thank all of our friends and family who have given us such tremendous support as we embark on the journey to losing our sanity!!

Love, the Priechenfrieds!

The final countdown

Well 10 days until we will welcome Caitlin into the world. I can't believe it. We are excited and well scared to death!

After a bad cold last week Nate is doing much better this week and was busy with his airplane this afternoon so I took a shot.

We are looking forward to Thanksgiving and hopefully a quiet 4 day weekend before things get really exciting. Our plans include sleep, eat, sleep, eat, sleep!

We miss you all check the blog often for updates.

Love,
Amy, Carl and Nate

Happy Halloween

We had so much fun! Nate and Claire looked so cute in their costumes. I was just so happy Nate put it on without a struggle. We started off in the neighborhood. It didn’t take long before Nate was knocking on the door and picking out the lollipops sometimes two at a time before running to the next house. Then it was off to the Janicki’s where the great pumpkin left two books for Nate. Later we drove through Old Northeast, the upscale part of town , they close the streets and houses are decorated rumor has it people have to buy $500.00 worth of candy that’s how many people come. It was a sight to see, I hope we get to go back when the kids are older. Then it was off to an open house at the Rimel’s. By 9:00 pm mom was done and we headed home with all the loot.

Mom I will hate you for this one day

The first stop
I've got this down, I knock and they bring out goodies Finally mom lets me have one!

So much fun

We had a great long weekend with Caren , Teddy and Carlie. A trip to the park on Thursday while mom was teaching class. Friday morning we were off to Zoo. Carlie taught Nate how to roar like a lion but there were no lions at the zoo. On Saturday Caren and I hit the outlets for a bit while the boys went fishing. We had a great day at the beach on Sunday the weather was perfect. Lets not forget the dinner out on Saturday night after the kids were tucked into bed. We had a great time out to dinner at Columbia's followed by a Jazz band and dessert at the Vinoy. Nate and Carlie had so much fun together. We miss them! So many cute pictures it was hard to choose.

Nate's New Table

We had a fun day, dad came home from work early and everyone went swimming at the
YMCA, we start swim lessons next week. On the eating front, it is very slow! Nate ate two slices of cheese for dinner last night but we have not had luck with anything else. We got Nate his own table in hopes that some day he might eat food! Carl stained it last weekend and it looks great.

We can't wait to see Aunt Caren, Uncle Teddy and Cousin Carlie in a few short days! Yippeee

The Countdown

Pictures of the nursery- almost done
Thanks for the curtains Grandma Poe
We decided on Caitlin but now Carl is going to change it to Kaitlin.

Nate couldn't wait for nap time

Well two months from today I am scheduled for my C-section. I am feeling excited and scared. I can't wait to meet her but I also know what to expect and I must admit those first six months are not much fun. We have help lined up for the first month so that is a big relief. School and work have been keeping me busy. Nate has a had a cold all week so naps have been short and lots of sleep has been lost but I think he is on the mend.

Its been a long time

I have no idea what this is but it sure is pretty I found Nate sitting on the table ( he knows he is not allowed) I had the camera close so what does he do when he knows he is caught smiles for the camera!

Well where does the time go. I have decided we will keep up with the blog. I have been printing it out monthly and putting it in Nate's baby book. I have been very bad about updating the baby book and this is a great way to remember so the blog lives on! We hope our family and friends will view from time to time and maybe even post. Caren where are you ? Its been busy lately, Carl went to England for a week he said something about work in between drinking beers. Aunt Ali flew in last weekend and we spent the time relaxing and having redneck pool parties with Nate. Today Nate and I went to storytime at the library as much as he loves to read at home he really enjoys climbing on the chairs at story time. Okay well here are a few pics.

Nate 16 Months

Nate loves to make faces, Dad calls them Chucky faces.

Nate got a big boy potty in hopes that he will be using it sometime in the next two years. When we tell him to sit on it he puts his foot inside and sits down. Not such a good idea!
NAte at his first baseball game, he watched the game for about 10 seconds but it sure was fun to climb through the chairs. We lasted 4 innings.
