Memorial Day 2010

We had a great weekend. Saturday was spent relaxing with Grandma and Grandpa Poe. On Sunday Carl, Nathan , Caitlin and I headed to Bear Island on the boat. Thanks Grandma for babysitting! We had a cookout on Monday with family and friends! Good times! Enjoy the pictures.

Nathan and Caitlin ready for their last full day of school. They walked into school holding hands with their matching hats. It brought tears to my eyes (not sure if it was because it was so cute or the fact that I get to spend every day with them for the entire summer LOL!)
Owen is doing well. He is sleeping but I am not going to give any details until next week. I am very superstitious!

A day at the pool with Grandma, fun fun!

The kids playing in the water at Bear Island, they love the new boat!

Nathan and Caitlin had to say goodbye to their best friends that lived just across the street. They will be missed!

After a long weekend, Owen does what he does best, sleep on anyones chest that will hold him. He loves daddy the best!

Nate's Graduation

Nathan graduated from Pre-K last Friday, off to school we go in August. Wow where did the time go. They sang some songs... Nate in back row, Caitlin front center, sitting down. She is shy and never participates. OH well. They had a great school year, the learned alot and they had fun!

Nathan was the first one to get his diploma, he was so proud.

Owen

I ran into Sears after I dropped the kids off at school and he gave us a smile or two. I went all out for the $7.99 package, that is what the third kids gets. Pictures from Sears! HAHAH

Owen is three months old this week. He smiles and I even heard a giggle today. He is rolling over from back to front and pushes his legs under him when on his tummy. He still doesn't sleep very well getting up anywhere from 2-4 times a night. He loves to sleep on anyones chest that will hold him! He is such a chubby baby, it is so weird as our other kids were always in the 10 percentile. Look at those cheeks he can hardly hold his head up!

OUR NEW RIDE

Well here she is. Carl and I have wanted a boat that we could take the family out on. Short day trips to Bear Island and to cruise up and down the creek. After much thought and consideration we found a great fit. She is old but Carl says she runs great and he is in love. I have not been out on it yet but hopefully soon! Grumppa and Grammy Lucy came to visit this weekend. Carl packed lunches and took them to Bear Island. Everyone had a great time. We are looking forward to a summer of fun on the "Maritime Minivan".

Capture the Moment

I was putting the kids to bed tonight and I said “ Thanks for making my mothers day so special” Caitlin sat up in bed and said “ Happy Mother’s Day Mommy, I love you” Oh I want to remember that forever. The smile on her face, the sparkle in her eyes. Thanks Caitlin for making my day special. She spent the entire week asking us how to draw the letter M and O so she could make me a card that said MOM on it. I love it Caitlin Thank You!

Thank you Nathan for telling me that when my roses die you will go pick me new ones. When I said “Thanks for making my mothers day so special” you said “ I love you mom”

The kids couldn’t wait to get “Fancy” (Fancy Nancy books) to go to brunch. We had an awesome day!

Nathan helped Owen write his name
Caitlin wrote MOM and made me two birthday cakes.

Nathan made me this in school, Caitlin brought me home a sunflower in pot she decorated herself. THANKS

Owen Owen Owen

Well Owen is two months old now and doing great. Now little man we love you to pieces, well okay the love grows considerably when you are sleeping ( on our chest of course)!!! This week I have seen definite improvement in your mood. You are crying less, now it is baby steps but we can only hope that in the coming weeks you will look around and realize we got a good life here and we have lots of fun and get with the program!
So many people have been helping me stay afloat I couldn’t have done it without everyone. Okay well Owen didn’t cry the entire time I wrote this blog but guess what yep gotta go ........ baby crying!

We spent earth day at home playing outside, and planting the garden!
Grandma and Owen

Heidi gives Owen a massage to help his reflux, he loves it!

Caitlin asked if she could make her own breakfast while I was upstairs I said sure. I came downstairs to find her making a sandwich, she was eating it and I figured it couldn't be worse than the butter sandwich she ate last week. She opened it to show me, sprinkles and syrup. This is what you let your kids eat when you have three kids and your husband is out of town!

He really can smile if he wants to. Oh Owen your smile is so cute please we want to see it more and more and more!
