Christmas 2012

 Here is Nate at his Christmas party. We are all so happy to be off school, no lunches to pack no bus no homework AHHHHH Mom is starting to really feel good!!!!

 Everyone was so hungry this morning, I wanted to do cereal but they insisted so it was Christmas sprinkle pancakes, eggs and sausage. These kids are spoiled and while I was in there I made mom 4 huge pancakes with blueberries ohhhh yummmmy!

Okay everyone is dressed and ready to go to Grannies for the Priechenfried Christmas. I had to post this or I knew I would be too far behind tonight so here we go over the river and through the woods and I mean it!!!!

He's Actually Talking!

Here we are another week gone, this week was easier I think. Long story short Mom was sick since Carl left nothing worthy of the blog but I got some medicine on Monday and have been making my way back to the land of the living this week and Wow you never realize how sick you were until you feel better. So now that I am thinking I can do this single parenting thing, I have my energy back and I am determined to gain back all 6 pounds I lost since Thanksgiving so go ahead send all those cookies my way! We are in full Christmas swing around here. We made cookies yesterday but I forgot to take pictures, its a little crazy with all the "help" I get. There have been some really funny moments. Yesterday Owen was singing Christmas Carols, it was the second time I have ever heard him sing and Nathan turns to him and says " Owen enough with the Christmas Carols already" HAHAHAH .  Owen , Caitlin and I were driving to the library to return books yesterday and a song came on the radio and Owen sang two words and they were so clear even I was amazed. Caitlin said " MOM DID YOU HEAR OWEN HES ACTUALLY TALKING!!!!" I think she meant to say we could understand him. You see Owen has lots to say these days its just that only Lindsay and myself understand it. Speaking of Lindsay I don't mention her much on the blog , I don't think she reads it as she doesn't need to she practically lives here but she is amazing I am so lucky to have a wonderful sitter , not to mention two sets of grandparents so close always willing to help when I get a bind. Carl and I never grew up with grandparents as mine lived far away and his were in England so its such a different great world for our kids, they don't realize how good they have it! I guess I better send a shuot out to the Aunts and Uncles too, which we also never had a close relationship with due to distance.  Okay okay, the events of this week definitely make you cherish your family and friends. Speaking of friends and family, my friends and family been amazing since Carl left!!! I have not been bored for a second and there is always a gathering or a phone call or text message. Due to what happened in CT I have not turned on the TV once this weekend this just not something my children need to be exposed to. I do read the newspaper and find it amazing when I read articles that tell me to tell my kids I love them duhhh! I mean who dosent' tell their kids they love them, I tell mine all the time and for sure every night before bed! My kids know I love them I dont' need a newspaper article to tell me that!   When I heard about the shooting I just wanted my kids , I texted Caitlin's teacher, she doesn't hand out her phone number but I have it because her son was on Carl's soccer team and we chat back and forth occasionally as I am the room mom and she sent me a picture of Caitlin all smiles!
The kids got to skype with Carl for the first time today and they really liked it. Owen still doesn't quite understand and asks Where Daddy Are? Where Daddy Are? at least five times a day. Yes and that is a sentence. We still hang onto his every word. He said "Boggie" yesterday it was awesome!!!   Okay on to the pictures
 

 Caitlin dressed up for a our Christmas party on Friday night, she wore those shoes the entire time. I wouldn't even dream of putting those on my feet. They are from Carlie too funny!

The Christmas lists have been mailed to Santa. Caitlin wants butterscotch the pony and a barbie house.  Caitlin is reading now. Caitlin is reading is amazing. I can't believe how well she is reading.

 The semester is over so for the first time I got to take Caitlin to dance on Thursday evening. Wow they look so cute doing ballet and tap!  She is in the middle holding the teachers hand with the pink outfit and pony tail

GOTTA GO the mailman just came. Who knew they work on Sunday this time of year. Anyway there is a box of fresh FLORIDA ORANGES from the Janicki's must go bite into a juicy fresh Florida orange!!!!! HEAVEN!!!

Husband Blog post!

Husband said to me last night on the phone, yes we are chatting now . Are you going to update the blog tomorrow long pause....... I mean I have not had the kids the entire weekend! Yep they are at Granny's and Aunt Caren's house so I am just sitting around staring endlessly out the window for hours (Christmas shopping done!!!!! presents wrapped!!!!! laundry folded and put away, bills , Christmas cards mailed, Christmas boxes to Japan and Afghanistan on their way, two of three Christmas parties ( I forgot to go to one- how did I do that!!!!), prescriptions filled, trash out, car cleaned )!!!! On my way to grocery store next!  Well sure honey I would love to but I didn't take any pictures this week well I mean I guess I could have taken pictures of Sunday night when I lost Owen while looking for the dog that got loose in total darkness, or pictures of me at the doctors with Nate on Thursday or the door that is broken, the fact that the day after you left the fan in your truck is not working, the lights that don't work the fact that the DVD player has no sound, well no honey sorry but there was nothing note worthy this week. Or the fact that Owen went to speech three times this week and we have a new speech therapist in the mix and she is awesome even if I had to schedule twenty appointments to finally see her. Or maybe a picture of the kids at the dentist they did awesome so as a special treat on the way home we stopped for Wendys and I got the kids Hi-C , I never let them drink Hi C in my car , well you know where this story is going! Caitlins entire size medium drink OHHHHH it was bad!   Nope sorry honey I just sat around on the sofa eating bon bons! Well I feel like I conquered the world this week and I guess I have everything is in order well at least for ten or eleven minutes after the kids get home! Caitlin had a great progress report for school this week and her teacher loves her story writing skills and she is a very good student. Way to go Caitlin. I have not seen Nathan's yet as he missed school on Thursday. OH I think Nathan needs to go live in Florida where the air is moist and warm all year long his asthma does not like winter!!!!!  I also don't like getting up every night to give him his inhaler in the middle of the night! It makes me so so sleepy! Okay I am going outside to play I have two more hours of free time and the trash needs to go the end of the driveway and the empty recycling from Wednesday is still sitting there!

Tis the Season!

 

 

To be Jolly! OH I am so so busy! I am always busy but this holiday thing with three kids and Carl gone is crazy! I have not sat down in days. I mean if you want to know how busy I am I don't think I have talked to my twin in three days ! Even Carl would tell you that is crazy and gym or exercise forget about it! I ran on Sunday briefly but oh boy! Anyway today Nathan and Caitlin have dentist appointments I am going to leave in a few minutes for that and then its off to piano, then the grocery store to make an appetizer for a Christmas Party tomorrow. Need to find a White Elephant gift as well. I have Christmas parties on Thursday and Friday. The kids have a craft fair at their school on Thursday evening and I think I work on Thursday nights, sure hope I remember to go! The good news is my classes end next week and in two weeks I will be baking cookies, listing to Christmas carols and telling you how bored I am!

Let the Holidays Begin!

What a week not sure what to call this post or even what pictures I will include. I have exactly 4 minutes before I am going to put the kids to bed and then drink an entire bottle of wine while eating chocolate slowly! Then I am going to pray pray pray that these people sleep through the night. I realize we are going through an adjustment so I am trying to give these three kids a break but my good sleepers have decided to start waking up at all hours of the night. Nate has this horrible cough which is related to no cold or virus from what I can tell. Its only bad at night! Owen has decided that he should wake up in the middle of the night and then ask for Dad when I tell him no back to bed its still dark. At which time he comes in and says "Mamma  dark dark no dark" AHHH Caitlin is up early early early for no reason and then grumpy and cries all day ! OH BOY!!!! Okay we are headed into week two so I am just say to myself love them and hold them and we will all be sleeping in no time right!!!!!! That being said we have had some good times during the day! SO lets all be tired and SLEEP PLEASE !!! MAMA NEEDS HER SLEEP!!!!

 Grandma and I took cupcakes in to her class on Friday afternoon! Yes this was party number two of three. My kids are so spoiled! They better turn out okay!

 We checked out the Flotilla last Friday night, it was chilly but the kids enjoyed it!

 WHAT ANOTHER Party! Don't let her fool you ! This party was for Aunt Ali and Mom, okay and a few presents for Cait, she decorated the cake in a flower so cute!
