Well we have had another exciting week. We started on Sunday with dinner with Claire and the boys, opened some some presents and had a great time. On Monday Lindsay and I took the kids to the dentist it was Owens first time and everyone did great. Owen didn't know what to expect and kept Lindsay close because he knew if he made it through that was job security so he always had an eye on her or would ask her for one last hug, like it might be his last HAHAHa. Which brings me to the title of the post. Caitlin had two small cavities. Of course the boys had none. Nathan who really just eats candy and never brushes his teeth. Well that night when we came home after I put the kids to bed. Caitlin was crying when I asked why she said she didn't want gold and silver teeth. I assured her that they now fill cavities white so she had nothing to fear. The next night as I get out of the shower she looks at me and says " I am on a diet" I had a heart attack ummm am I getting fat. Oh my god my 7 year old is worried about her body image! After the heart attack wore off I said "What " and she said " A no candy diet" I just don't ever want another cavity" WHEEW this has nothing to do with body image. Well the fact that she has cavities is heavy on her mind I have tried to assure her that some people just get cavities and its just bad luck, and your brother has good luck and you might have inherited your mothers luck!
I Have picture of Nathan in this very same outfit. I will have to post it later, everyone seems to need mom today! I am in high demand!
After the dentist we stopped by the mall and got Caitlin's ears pierced it was last minute but she had been asking to do it for a while so no time like the present! Time to open presents with Ms. Lindsay before she leaves for Christmas.
Caitlin loves her Barbie horse from Ms. Lindsay.
Owen got a boat, and its been a week of baths.
Nathan loves his new Diary of Wimpy Kid book , just like Lindsay said I hope it takes him more than 2 hours to read it, nope it didn't but he will re-read it, he also got a Lego.
Owen gives Lindsay a thank you hug. He loves her just as much as I do. The next few weeks are going to be tough!
Caitlin in her Christmas dress, one size bigger this year!
Owen made this letter for Santa, his is the lower part and then he called in Nathan when he realized he was having trouble with the letters. Having a three year old in the house at Christmas is so cute, the level of energy is amazing. I just don't know if I can keep it up for 4 more days!!!!
