Uncle Teddy working hard on the dock! THANKS SO MUCH!

Wow we are having such a fun summer. Nate finished school two weeks ago and we hit the road the next day for Grandma Poe's house. We stayed there for a long weekend. The kids had so much fun in the pool and finding worms. Mom and Aunt Ali got to spend a night out on the town.

Carl got back last Thursday and got right to work building a dock, we didn't see him all weekend but Aunt Caren, Carlie and Grayson came over for sleepover. Nate and Carlie had a blast! Mom and Aunt Caren were in charge of cold beer and water which was just fine dock building looks like really hard work! On Sunday Uncle Teddy came down to help with the dock and it is really coming along! We can't wait to have everyone over again!

Here are some pics. This weekend we are headed to Florida for the Janicki Beach weekend YEAH!

Summer is HERE!

Wow is it hot hot hot. I have finally been able to set up my computers and download my pictures. Time to get the blog back in action. Carl is gone in Indy this month what started as a training exercise has now turned into rescue and humanitarian missions for some of the marines. The are helping with the floods and evacuating residents. Stay safe Dad.

We are doing well here. WE have had a few weird things happen but nothing is normal when Carl is gone so other than the flu, a stomach virus and Nate's crazy allergic reaction at the beach ( to his bathing suit lining), I think we are doing well.

We all miss dad but Caitlin poor Caitlin. Everytime we are on base and she sees a marine in cammies she screams DADDY DADDY! She is so upset when they turn out to not be dad just someone dressed just like him. It really breaks my heart I hope she figures it out soon! When she wakes in the morning she screams Dad Dad! Nate walks into her room this morning and says " Caitlin would you stop calling me Dad , he's not here!"

Aunt Ali came to visit last weekend we had a blast at the beach and the pool!

WOW WOW WOW YEAH YEAH YEAH

NATE TRIED PIZZA TONIGHT!
As many of you know I have been taking Nate to OT for a few months now. His OT is really great and over the past few weeks Nate has become more and more interested in real table food. Tonight he tried pizza! He only tried the crust but I think it is a sign of things to come! We knew he would get hungry for real food sooner or later!

Its almost summer!

Day out with Thomas

Last weekend we took a quick three day trip up to Maryland to stay a the Poe house so Nate could go to A day out with Thomas. His reward for potty training. Everyone had fun! I really enjoyed the cold drinks afterwards at the inner harbor.

We are planning a move into the new house in a few weeks. I would rather not talk about it as the mere thought of moving makes me want to cry!

I have told Carl that the only place I will move after this one is back to St. Pete where I think Carl and I have decided we will permanetly reside one day soon! We are just waiting for housing prices to reach all time lows!

Carl is out on the boat again getting ready for his 7 month deployment later this summer. He called me a few minutes ago and asked if I could bring his cammies. Seems he forgot to pack his clothes! No problem I said, okay well the plane leaves in ten minutes ! I drove the car 60mph through 10 mph zones and on 2 wheels to get to the helicopter before it left.
The cast came off yesterday. I got to take Nate for the fun. It only took four of us to hold him down while they used a rotating saw to get the cast off. What a good time!

Happy 3rd Birthday Nathan

Mom asking Caitlin to look at the camera.

Well Nate is 3 I can't believe it. He weighs 32 pounds and is 37 inches tall. His vocabulary is amazing and he loves school. He loves to play outside with his buddies Logan and John. Nathan is now potty trained, it just happened and we couldn't be happier! Nate can actually read now, he told us just this evening that the sign on the playground says " No going home". Funny I thought it said for ages 2-12. Nate had a great birthday week with two parties. We got to see everyone this week, Grandma, Granny, Grandad , Aunt Caren and Aunt Claire, Uncle Chuck and all 5 of the cousins. Here are a few of the pics!

Good days and bad days

Carl has been gone for 9 days and things are going pretty good. If it Add Imagewould stop raining. Nate fell down today and he may have a broken arm. I sure hope not but he is acting like it is broken and is in pain. We go see the Ortho doctor on Monday.
Here are the kids on the new playground. More pics later

Happy Easter

We had a good day today. Grandma and Grandpa Poe were here in the morning but had to leave before lunch. Grannie, Grandad, Aunt Caren, Uncle Teddy, Grayson and Carlie were down for dinner. Dinner was yummy. Thanks for all your help Grandma Poe I wish you could have been here to taste it all!

Sad News

Today Doc passed away. We consider ourselves lucky to have known such a wise, funny and lighthearted man. He will be missed at family gatherings. Our thoughts and prayers are with Peggy and the entire Tulevech family.

The Kids Day 6

I have been home alone for 6 days now. It feels like 6 months so I am sure I will do great when Carl is gone OH MY GOD! HELP ME! I have only cried once so I will probably be okay when he is gone. Or not!

THere have been some highs and lows. Nate is doing great potty training. I think we are almost there. FINALLY! Caitlin has really started talking this week. I thought it would never happen. She is also sleeping better, it is amazing how love grows when mama sleeps through the night. Just kidding I love you lots Caitlin!

Here are a few pics one of my favorites is Nate in his diaper and my shoes telling me " mom I am going outside to play with my friends" Nate feeding Caitlin food that he will not touch!
