Happy 6th Birthday Owen!

 We celebrated in Priechenfried style, ... from before sun up to well a whole weekend.

 He got this Easel and he loves loves loves it! My boy loves to make crafts!

 we blew out candles on his pancakes!

 Then we hit the road for Myrtle Beach!

 A cake and balloons were waiting for us.

 We found some friends who just happened to be staying the same weekend and it was a party!

 Janelle , Jason, Bryn and Morgan joined us the next day!

 There was lazy river fun, water slides and swimming in the pool for three days straight....

 Good times had by all!

Whenever we go on a road trip I always rent red box for the way there and back as we were about 30 minutes from home we stopped to return the movies and Owen said after he got back in the car
"Mom thank you for the wonderful weekend, I had a great birthday"... Carl and I had never gotten out of the car he thought of that all by himself, it was straight from his heart. And so Owen you have secured another awesome birthday weekend next year!!! Just name your place big guy it will be epic!!!!
I love you to the moon and back!!!!!

Valentines Day and Daddy Daughter Dance

 Caitlin had the daughter daddy dance last weekend. School was closed for snow, you know what I like to call Onslow County Public Snow, which means a bit of rain and clear blue skies and always above freezing!!! Don't get me started. Okay so we got our hair done and the boys got haircuts.

 She did her own makeup.

 And off they went!

 It was also Valentines Day, Mom was still not feeling well at this point, and I still have the cough but overall I am feeling better. I made cookie valentines. I really wanted to make some on Friday night to take to Carl's stepdads birthday party but Owen and I were still sick. oh this bug has lasted forever. Owen still still has a bad cough.. but its got to end soon.

 Since we had all had the germ might as well make cookies, although we didn't share with anyone.

Even Nathan loves them. 

Oh in case you are wondering the bunny is a boy and he is getting so so big...
Okay well the next time I write this blog there will be pictures to post of Caitlin's and Nathan's done bedrooms yes yes I hope by next week at this time!!! I am finishing Caitlin's dresser today and I will post before and after pictures. Nathan's room will be painted tomorrow and Wednesday and then we will put it back together early next week. Okay but first we have a little boy turning 6 this week!!!! Time to party......

And so it begins!

Nathan and Caitlin ages Nathan 10 almost 11 Caitlin age 9..... this weekend they both got their first zit. Same spot on their nose! Yes isn't that weird 18 months apart but it looks like we are going to hit that p word together ohhhh boy I am so not ready for this. I am kind of closing my eyes but man then I wonder what do I say... is it time to have the talk. Carl haha I don't think he has even ever talked to Nathan about the birds and bees. Don't worry I am a biologist I have it covered.We have been talking for about a year now I think has friends have filled him on all the specifics I try to clarify things as I go.  Caitlin is still a little young but the weird thing is kids these days their bodies are changing faster than their brains. American with growth hormones added to everything , toxins and pollutants you are taking my babies from me. Okay I am ready here we go let the games begin. Please please let me make it through the next 10 years and can we just do it well!  oh and in case your wondering I am still cleaning! Caitlins room is going well, the painting is done and now I am moving everything back in and getting ready for the furniture part, new bed , repaint dresser... wish me luck! Nathans rooms is next week!! YIKES

The Blizzard of 2016!

Sorry blog its been a while I was caught in a blizzard.... okay maybe not.. HAHA but we really did get caught in a real life blizzard and we just happened to be 20 feet from a ski slope and I was with my family and my twin sister... AWESOMENESS!

 We got to Snowshoe on Wendesday evening and it was snowing on our way up the mountain, in  hindsight we really should have put the snow chains on , on our way up the mountain. IT was crazy. We lived and now we know when we need snow chains!!!!

 Nate had his RC car ready to go with snow chains, they were calling for lots of snow for the weekend. Lets just say it did not disappoint

 We hit the slops on Thursday well almost everyone did poor owen was sick so he hung out with Uncle Troy but it was okay as we were so close we could just ski on and off the mountain to switch turns and warm up.

 Then on Friday its started snowing and snowing and snowing and snowing and its snowed 38 inches by our last total although I heard 41 but does it matter it was lots and lots of snow! The conditions were perfect and we were stuck in a blizzard!!!!

 We skied and played lots of card games.

 Nathan and Caitlin did awesome in ski school for two days and Owen got to go on Sunday when were "stuck " there.

 On Monday after five wonderful snow filled awesome days it was time to head home and well snowshoe you have never ever disappointed we will see you next year!!!!!

Owens New Room

It was time to take down the nursery and the walls needed a new coat of paint and I was ready for the kids to have cool new rooms. So it only took us Two entire days!!! Carl did most of the painting but I drove to lowes 100 times hahah I actually only bought 5 paint samples which is a record low considering the living room I had at least 20! 

 blackout blinds, maybe he will sleep past 5:30 and keep out the hot summer sun.

 I got rid of lots.... he wanted to get rid of more but I told him he wouldn't have any toys left!!!! hahah

I put the baby books in the attic and his top shelf is just his phonics books so I know just what to grab.
 Nathan saw his room and said thats awesome will you do mine...... see you next year blog lol!!!!!

It all started with the spice cabinet!

Well over Christmas Ali started cleaning out my cabinets and drawers at the time I looked at her and said" Where do you get the energy for that" She laughed and said " I don't have three kids" Well fast forward to the New Years Resolution. I will clean and organize the house. I knew this was something I would have to do in baby steps and I started with the downstairs , it took me two weeks. Some nights I just left a mess, it would have to wait until morning, some days everything waits and waits, dishes, laundry you name it. .... but I am making great progress. So sorry I have been MIA but I am cleaning and organizing and de-cluttering and well right now Carl is upstairs painting Owens bedroom. Yes this weekend Owen room gets a make over, and all of Nate's drawers have been cleaned out and Caitlin's closet has been done and well I am just doing a little bit at a time but have decided I can and will do this so blog I am sorry but my house will be awesome in no time. Oh did I mention those three little monsters mess it up faster than I clean it up ohhh well, I love them anyway.

Thats all time to go fold some laundry and clean , organize and clean , clean clean... operation Clean 2016!!!! 

Happy New Year!

Happy Happy New Year, we finally got a bit of a cold snap although hopefully that should be over soon. Kids are back at school, Mom is back at work and wow thats all I have to say is Wow! Maybe I shouldn't put this on the blog for my kids to read for the rest of their lives but Mom is about to loose it with these children... okay maybe just a few of them. Eating , drinking and pooping has been a big problem in the Priechenfried house for the past few months. Seems Nathan has decided he is too busy to use the bathroom when he gets the urge and well he also doesn't eat which is normal and well since I don't eat I just won't drink either AHHHHHHH! It is exhausting to in addition to telling your kid to do their homework and clean their room to eat and drink and poop!!! Soooo like I said everyone is happy.... except mom... everyone is pretty healthy well except Mr. I am not eating , drinking or pooping! and is it time for our next vacation yet!!!!!!
