For a while we thought it would never happen. Caitlin was a women of very few words mostly No No No and NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. This week it happened Caitlin started talking (purple, bannana, where mama go?, Leo (the next door neighbor), fishy, boat). Not only has she started talking but then last night she started couting . We were reading a book, from Shelly and she counted the mice , one two , three, four..... It was a proud moment. I thought she would never talk. Okay I must go time for Granny to come give me my day of freedom! OH I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am counting the seconds until Freedom!

I must go check on the kids I just figured out Nathan is alone in the bathroom with wrench!!!!!

We had a great day. On Thursday evening we meet Carlie and Caren at the aquarium, with Grannie and Grandad along !. On Friday, Nate and Caitlin had school parties followed by a night of trick or treat. Of course Caitlin did not wear her costume but that was no surprise. Nathan had a great time and had a blast getting and giving candy.

TWO MONTHS DOWN, yep Carl has been gone for two months as of Friday ONly five more to go.... Must check on kids!!!!!!!

Yes I get very weird this time of year! I love making the kids Halloween costumes, everyone asks me why I spend hours on something that lasts less than an hour. I can't answer that question but I enjoy it. ! This year Nathan and Caitlin are Lions! Boy do they ROAR!!!!!!!!

Tonight was Trunk or Treat at church. A few people decorate their cars and give out candy from the trunk. Nate got voted best costume !!!! Caitlin would not wear hers but I am going to make her wear it for a picture on Halloween so stay tuned!

One scary one happy!

I had to split my weekend up into multiple posts it was just so much fun. Aunt Ali and Troy (boyfriend) came for a visit. We finally made the smores Nathan has been asking for since July and they even carved the pumpkins Thanks so much Ali and Troy. Alison and Troy left out of here this morning for a kayak trip to Bear Island, weather had them here for a day which was fine with me! They have made it safely and the weather looks good the remaining.

We miss you Carl and can't wait to do all these things with you when you get back. I will also include pictures of the kids opening the Halloween cards you sent them. They love getting your mail!

Welcome Home Uncle Jeff!

Well after waiting a week for his jet to get fixed we finally welcomed Jeff back to the United States from a tour in Iraq. Jeff flew the last harrier out of Iraq as they are no longer needed!!!! YEAH Great to have you home safe Jeff!!! Here are a few pictures.

Well there is a chill in the air, I really miss sunny warm St. Petersburg. I am really sad this week not only am I missing Halloween card night with the girls hosted by Blythe but also the World Series. If it were not so far and if I had a friend that had room for me I would pack the car and hit the road! Oh well as soon as Carl gets back I can't wait to head to Florida! Last week I was talking to Nate and I said Nate are you excited about trick or treat he said YES. How many houses are you going to this year. His reply " Just Susan's" oh it broke my heart. I can't believe he remembers going to Susans house before he even turned 2 but he really does and he misses Susan just as much as I do!

Okay we are doing great and we have been having fun with a visit from Grandma and Grandpa yeah and maybe even Aunt Ali this weekend.

WOW I am exhausted, not only am I supposed to care for these children but just keeping Carl happy with the emails, letters, packages, blog updates, dvd's. I really need to hire a public relations assistant so I can keep Carl happy. Okay okay I know you miss the kids so here is more pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets see last weekend we went to Chapel Hill to visit Bob and Alice. I am so glad I went I love spending time with them but after a 3 hr morning drive there, and a 4 hr visit as soon as we got in the car I-40 was a dead stop due to an accident. We waited for 1.5 hrs I thought about running into oncoming traffic!!!!!!

I will also include some pics of the kids at the playground with Granny, Grandad and cousin Carlie. Today we went to the Fall Festival. The kids had a blast, I signed nate up for the Tractor rides, turns out it was relay races to win the tractor. He won his heat and thought he had won the tractor. He came in second in the final race. He broke down he was crying, the only kid. I tried to expalin to him that winning isn't everything and second place was great. OH man it broke my heart. Let me tell you I am totally against those ride on things but seeing my kid crying like that I thought about going out and buying him one. I knew that wasn't the right thing to do so instead we got a cookie! Cookies make everything better!!!! Caitlin got to go for a pony ride and feed some baby goats. They both loved all the bouncy things! I call them petri dishes but oh well we can all be sick next week!
