The Tooth Fairy!

Nathan lost his first tooth but like all stories here at the Priechenfried house there was drama. He was looking forward to losing his first tooth! I kept telling him any day now, any day now. On Wednesday as he got off the bus he was wearing a necklace with a little plastic tooth charm (it holds the tooth inside). As soon as he got off the bus he burst into tears. He said over the uncontrollable sobbing " I lost my tooth at school and opened my necklace on the bus and it fell out and I lost it!" I said " Don't worry the tooth fairy knows" I could tell this was not going to work, so I said lets go find it!" Thinking to myself, there is no way. We ran home, I ran upstairs grabbed Owen from his nap and got everyone in the car. Carl called I was heading out to find the bus and so he gave me the number to the school. I called the school and asked where can I find that bus? We were waiting for the bus when she was done her route. Nathan and I got on and the great tooth hunt began. After a few minutes I was losing hope but then I saw a little teeny tiny white spec. I saw it between the seat and the wall, it was so tiny. I couldnt' get it out, I was using my car key and was able to get it far enough along and Nathan was able to grab it. We all lived happily ever after! The tooth fairy brought four gold dollar coins! Thanks Tooth Fairy!
I have a kid holding on my leg screaming got to go!!!!

It was so small!
One less tooth!

Look at these cute lolipop monkeys we got from Susan.... so cute.

Fall Fall Fall

WOW where to start, the last two weeks have been long! HAHAH After getting the flu and pneumonia I am finally on the road to recovery. Too bad I fell down the stairs on Monday and busted my a...... I will not be posting a picture of the bruise on my butt but it is large! I am so lucky I didn't break anything! As all moms know there is no time for MOM to be sick. The ship sinks fast!

Nathan and Caitlin were in the bunkbeds because Grumppa was here and I found them sleeping together. I also think this was the last night Caitlin used a paci. She never really asked for one but if she found one she liked to use it, I went around the house last week and tried to find them all and threw them in the trash. She has not even mentioned it... how funny is that. I guess she was ready.
We had a fun visit with Grumppa Priechenfried

We visited Grandma and Grandpa Poe and went to the Veterans Day Parade. I drove the kids solo to Maryland. It took me 8 hours up and 7 hours back.... NEVER AGAIN... until they can drive me!!!!

Nate helps Grandma rake leaves. Neighbor Sam is in the background.

Owen gets a push from Aunt Ali, the kids had a sleepover with Aunt Ali while Mom and Dad went to the Marine Corps Ball. Owen did his usual up three times. I felt sorry but glad its not just me. Really I have tried everything... tonight we start the cry it out. I have tried this before but it dosen't go over so well with Nate and Cait and in the end I usually give up. I am exhausted and home alone so I just put a bottle or boob in his mouth and he goes back to sleep. Well I will let you know next week who wins the next round. Pray for me!!!!!

The fall leaves in Maryland were very pretty. Here is the family.

Nathan giving Owen a bottle. I really don't know what I would do without Nathan. This kid has been my rock since Carl has been gone. He helps out so much he is so nice to Owen. When I had to flu I kept him home from school to help me with Owen

2nd Annual Hallloween Party

The halloween party was another good time. We had 15 kids and they all looked great. I think next year I will have a no costume no entry for adults. Some adults dressed up but its halloween people get with the program! Anyway we had a good time and the kids are already counting down the days until next year. Thanks Aunt Ali and Uncle Troy for all your help in set up and breakdown!!!!

Caitlin gets things started with glow necklace toss! Get it on the witches hat you get to keep it. If you miss just try try again!
Here are the boys digging through the brains (noodles) to find the eyeballs (ping pong balls). At the end of the evening I discovered Caitlin eating it ew yuck!

Aunt Ali gator holding Owen the giraffe

Get the worm off the string. The germ free version of bobbing for apples. Everyone gets their own string! I love having a few older boys at the party. They are so much fun, they already know how to play the games so they really help out the younger kids and everyone seems to participate more.

Wrap the mummy!

The favorite game was the pinata, we put the heavy hitters at the end and it even took them two turns. I missed getting a picture of putting the nose on the pumpkin or passing the pumpkin, we played that twice. Once again the olders kids showed the younger kids and it was a so much fun to watch. Now that the kids have figured out the games I am looking forward to getting some really fun prizes for next year ( oh wait did I just say next year). Okay I am not sure who likes it more me or the kids!

Best Costume goes to Ali-gator and the croc hunter! Yes she made that!

Halloween Week

WOW what a week. Let me start by saying I had lots of help there is no way I could have pulled this off without the help of Grandma, Grandpa, Ali and Troy, Susan and Jeff. THANK SO MUCH! We got started last Sunday at Church with Trunk or Treat. Grandma offered to help with this one! Caitlin wore her mermaid costume from last year it was just so cute I am not ready to see it go yet. Caitlin was a bit shy but Nate had a blast. On Tuesday evening Grandpa got the pumpkin carving started. On Thursday was Caitlins Harvest Walk at her T,Thursday preschool. On Friday 30 cupcakes had to be made for Caitlins Halloween party at her M,W, F school. On Friday Ali and Troy took the kids to the Fall Festival at Nate's school. I am Room Mom for Nate's class so I set up his halloween party I didn't make it to the party as I was taking a much needed nap.

Grandpa carved the first pumpkin. Just look at their faces.

Little Update

Hello,
Well things are going well so far this week. I had my first parent teacher conference today for Nathan. Sounds like everything is going well at school . He is doing great. She said the other day she was walking around the classroom as the kids were doing center time. Nathan was at the writing table and he wrote " Nathan loves Lexi" . Wow getting an early start!
This is what his report card looks like:
Named all capital and lower case letters.
Knows all sounds except: Z,O, U, I, E
Passed Rhyming
Can Count to 100
Knew all #s 0-30 except 30.
Counted backwards 10 to 0.

Next testing will be on ending sounds, sight words and comparing objects.

In my next post I will scan in my favorite art work and handwriting samples.

Caitlin loves to dress up Owen don't you love the slippers! Owen is starting to eat table food now. He likes cheerios, and his favorite pancakes (just like his brother) . Oranges and bannanas are a yummy second.

Nate's class, it was a really good group of kids!

We had a great day the weather was perfect and everyone had a great time.

Fall Fun

Caitlin begged me to stop at the church pumpkin patch after preschool I promised her we would go back after Nate got off the bus. They both get to go to the real pumpkin patch for school but you always need more pumpkins.
This is what pictures look like when you have three kids! Great shot huhhh

Nathan looking for the most plumply dumply pumkin, not a stumpy grumpy pumpkin but a sunny sumptious pumpkin. Finally on a twinning vine he spies a pumpkin fat and fine.

Decorating the small ones with marker.... sure whatever works. One less pumpkin I have to carve!

Nate insisted on taking the picture.

We had a week of cool temps and now we have highs in the upper 80's I love it. The air is crisp. The very bad news is the all the rain has really made the fishing horrible!

NOT ME MONDAY!!!!

WHo me, no I didn't buy my boys matching Nikes!!

Best buddies with matching shoes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good times with the cousin!
Cousin Grayson turned three.
Caitlin is all better but Nate went back to the doctors today and got another round of antibiotics, we are going to see the allergy, asthma doctor tomorrow. The doctor suggested he may need allergy shots.... wait did he say shots...... uhhh ohhhhh more later.........

Soccer Pictures

The Blue Marlins

Nate really enjoys soccer. He is doing really well now in his second season. He is great at defense and is really improving his offense.

Nate is feeling better and well I wish I could say the same about Caitlin. She is not really getting better so I made her a doctors appointment for tomorrow UGGGHHH! She has missed so much school but I think she needs to go. Last night I went in her room and was setting up the humidfier. Mom what are you doing? I am setting up the humidfier Caitlin so you will not cough so much. Caitlin says " Mom I don't need a fire in my room"

Later in the night she was up coughing and I was giving her a drink and tucking her back in. I was laying there with her as I usually do with Nathan and she looked at me and said " Mom you can go out the door now" The next time she woke up I stayed with her a few minutes and after a bit she looked me and said " Mom You Scared To Death! Why are you still here". Like I said she really takes care of herself.
